What our Edinburgh engineers do
Pristine Material Handling has engineers based in Edinburgh, Newcastle and Worthing. Edinburgh is the nearest of the three for sites in the Lothians and Fife. On the trucks we supply, the work covers:
- Installation: setting up a new truck or robot on your site, with operator familiarisation at handover.
- Planned maintenance: servicing at regular intervals, timed around your shifts, so that worn parts are found early.
- Breakdown repairs: finding the fault and repairing the truck.
- Genuine parts: Noblelift parts, fitted on a visit or ordered on their own.
Which trucks and robots are covered
We service the Noblelift trucks we supply. As an authorised Noblelift dealer we sell them new, from 0.6 to 18 tonnes: forklifts, reach trucks, very narrow aisle trucks, cold storage trucks, pallet trucks and electric stackers. Our Noblelift forklifts page explains how the forklift ranges differ.
We are also an authorised PUDU Robotics dealer. The PUDU MP2000, T150, T300 and T600 robots we supply are set up around your site and workflow, and we support them once they are in use. See our PUDU robots and automation page.
We also service other makes of forklift. Give us the make and model when you call 0131 605 0238 or book online.
Where we are and how far from your site
Our unit is at Unit 2D, R6 Industrial Estate, Queen Anne Drive, Newbridge, EH28 8LH. The estate is close to the Newbridge roundabout (M9 Junction 1), where the M8 and M9 meet. Send us your site postcode and we will confirm cover for your area.
The table gives one or two places in each council area around us, with approximate off-peak drive times from EH28 8LH. They show travel only; we confirm the time of each visit by phone or email. Allow longer at peak times, particularly on the M8 and the City Bypass. Our pages on forklift trucks in Edinburgh, Livingston and West Lothian and Fife list more places.

Reporting a breakdown
Call 0131 605 0238, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, or email info@pristinemh.com. Outside those hours, email us or use the form to book a service, and say that the truck is off the road. We confirm the visit by phone or email.
If you think a truck is unsafe, keep it out of use until it has been checked. It helps to have these details ready:
- The make and model, and the serial or fleet number.
- What the truck was doing when the fault appeared, and what it does now.
- Whether it is blocking an aisle, a loading bay or a dock door.
- The site postcode, your working hours and who the engineer should ask for on arrival.
- Any site rules for visitors, such as a gatehouse sign-in, a pass or a safety induction.
Planned maintenance for different kinds of site
Planned maintenance is regular servicing of each truck. A truck on double shifts needs more frequent attention than one used a few times a day, so we plan visits around your shifts and the hours each truck works.
To set it up, list your trucks by model and number, and tell us what kind of site it is:
- Distribution centres, such as the sizeable ones on Deans Industrial Estate in Livingston: give us your shift pattern, so a visit falls when a reach truck or pallet truck can be spared.
- Food and drink sites, such as Broxburn's meat and drinks producers: say whether a truck works in a cold store or a wet or washdown area.
- Dock and port work, as at Leith Docks: say whether trucks spend the day outdoors, and where on site an engineer can work on one safely.
- Trade and industrial units, as on Sighthill Industrial Estate and in neighbouring Bankhead: give us your opening hours and say where a truck can be worked on without blocking deliveries.
Parts and warranty
We supply genuine Noblelift parts for the trucks we sell. An engineer can fit them on a visit, or you can order them on their own: choose Parts on the service form and give the model with its serial or fleet number. Part numbers help if you have them.
Every new truck comes with a 12-month parts and labour warranty as standard. For a fault on a truck we supplied, in or out of warranty, call 0131 605 0238.
